  1. My dog Chalupa first started insulin three units of canine insulin one time a day but after two weeks she was put on Humanine insulin 1.5 units two times a day. She seems to be doing good. The doctor put her on special food She lost almost a pound and the vets are happy with her progress. The meds and needles are so expensive I wish I could get help with her meds like humans get when they have diabetis. I don't care I love my dog I will pay anything for her meds.

  3. Has anyone had cataract surgery for their dog and, if so, was it successful? Please share any comments on the pros and cons of such surgery.

  4. The Vet placed my miniature poodle on human insulin twice daily in July. How does this compare with Vetsulin? Has anyone else had experience with the dogs being prescribed human insulin?
